Alumni Scholarships
are made possible by
the support of members,
alumni and friends of
the Alumni Association.
Individuals and corporations
can support alumni scholarships
in the following ways:
General Fund Scholarships:
The Alumni Association
General Scholarship
Fund accepts donations
in any amount. Scholarships
are distributed annually
by the Association in
the amount of $1,500.00
for undergraduate students
and $1,750.00 for graduate
students.
Annual Scholarships:
Annual Scholarships
are cash gifts made
in the amount of $1,500.00
or greater. For each
$1,500.00 donated, one
scholarship is named
as desired by the donor.
Criteria in addition
to the base criteria
of the Alumni Association
can be assigned to select
the winner of the scholarship,
as allowed by law.
Endowed Scholarships:
Endowed Scholarships
exist in perpetuity
though investment of
the initial gift - with
scholarship awards generated
from the interest of
that principal gift.
The University minimum
for endowed gifts is
$10,000, which at an
estimated 5% interest
rate would generate
two $850 gifts every
three years. A gift
of $15,000 would generate
one Association Scholarship
each year. An endowed
scholarship is named
in perpetuity as desired
by the donor.
Criteria in addition
to the base criteria
of the Alumni Association
can be assigned to select
the winner of the scholarship,
as allowed by law. In
the case of gifts which
would generate five
or more awards each
year, an independent
selection process administered
by the Alumni Association
would be considered.
