Learning
must be a lifelong process, and
one of the most effective ways to
learn is to participate in the development
of others. The best teachers learn
much from their students, counselors
draw insights from their clients,
and partners in any successful relationship
grow and develop along the way.
I see the CSULA Alumni Mentoring
Program as a valuable opportunity
to share my business experience
and the things I have learned with
others while continuing in my own
ongoing development. I hope to assist
our Alumni in uncovering their passions
and progressing in their careers—and
hopefully help them to develop their
skills and benefit from my perspective
of experience. As with my professional
calling in executive search, I will
find tremendous satisfaction in
helping our Alumni find and capture
new opportunities to grow professionally
and personally.
To me, the Alumni Mentoring Program
represents an opportunity to contribute
and essentially "pay back" others
for the help and support I’ve received
over the years. Some 330 years ago,
Sir Isaac Newton wrote: "If I have
seen further, it is by standing
on the shoulders of giants."
